PLUS-1 rest defence — attack with security25 min · 2 × 10 min · Wed
Setup: 8 v 8 + GK. Attacking team must keep PLUS-1 behind the opponent's front unit at the moment of every loss; a counter conceded with broken PLUS-1 counts double.
Warm-up: 5 min — positional walk-through: who is the +1 in each attacking pattern?
Main part: 2 × 10 min game; freeze on every loss — is the +1 in place? Counter goals against broken structure count double.
Progression: Coach calls mode switches (protect / chase) — the security rule shifts with the mode.
Coaching points: The +1 is a POSITION, not a player · communicate the handover · rest defence is set BEFORE the final pass.
Load: Moderate.
First-pass vertical — regain pattern game25 min · 2 × 8 min · Wed
Setup: 8 v 8, two vertical target gates + assist-zone end boxes. A regain followed by a vertical first pass inside 10 s scores double.
Warm-up: 6 min — pattern walk-through: regain → first look vertical → third-man release, unopposed.
Main part: 2 × 8 min, 8 v 8 with gates. Double score for a vertical first pass inside the 10-second value window; a back pass under no pressure = possession lost.
Progression: Limit the regaining player to two touches — the decision must be pre-scanned.
Coaching points: Scan before the regain · body open on the first touch · runners attack depth the moment the ball turns over.
Load: Moderate — technical density high, sprint volume medium.
6-second hunt — 4 v 4 + 2 transition boxes25 min · 3 × 6 min · Tue + Thu
Setup: Two 18×18 m boxes. On loss, a visible 6-second countdown; regain or forced long ball stops the clock. Roles fixed: pressure / lane block / collect.
Warm-up: 8 min — 5 v 2 rondo with 6-second loss rule: the two chasers must force a turnover inside the window.
Main part: 3 × 6 min, 4 v 4 + 2 neutrals. Visible countdown on loss; regain inside 6 s = 2 points, forced long ball = 1. Fixed roles rotate each block: pressure / lane block / collect.
Progression: Add a switch-of-play trigger: coach plays a diagonal into the second box — the far-side collector must arrive before the second ball.
Coaching points: First sprint starts BEFORE the loss is complete · collector reads the long escape early · no jump without communication.
Load: HSR focus — pair with Monday recovery; not within 48 h of matchday.
